Bengaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said that if necessary, the model of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath would be implemented in Karnataka.
Speaking to the media on Thursday, he said: “We have taken the killing of BJYM leader Praveen Nettar very seriously. We have already formed five teams to investigate. We waged a war against anti-social elements. People in the state will have a picture of it in the next few days. An expedited investigation is underway in this case, like that of the murder case of Hindu Harsha of Shivamogga”.
“We will implement the ‘Yogi model’ if necessary in the state. We will not hesitate to do so. Do not underestimate us. We have observed over the past 10 years that sleeper cells have increased rapidly. Many incidents aimed at ruining the social fabric have also come to light, and our police have managed to track down these anti-social elements and put them behind bars,” he added.
Meanwhile, reacting to the agitation by BJP workers and Hindu organizations against the BJP state government, condemning the killing of Praveen Nettar, CM Bommai said, “Our action speaks louder than words.”
